Item description

The Government of India announced the vaccination drive for people above 18 years. The drive will start on 1st May. As a result, people above 18 years will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. We know that India’s adult population is the largest in the world. In India, we have atleast 600-700 million adult people; all these are expected to register for this vaccination drive.

People can register themselves and book a vaccination slot at their nearest vaccination centre. The vaccine will be available at free cost at all government hospitals; on the other hand, private hospitals can set the cost of the vaccine, but they have to declare the cost transparently.

The demand for vaccine has increased at rocket speed after this announcement. To fulfil the purpose of vaccination for all, the CoWIN portal and Aarogya Setu app are active and will start registration on April 28. Walk-in and on-spot registration will not be permitted at the starting of the drive. People can check the details of price per dose, stocks, centre availability and other information on the CoWIN platform and Aarogya Setu app.
