Item description
What type of non-woven material is being used? A better question might be to ask what type of needle is needed. I’ve used leather, recycled pet food bags, plastic with an ordinary sewing machine. The difference is the needle. With leather, the needle has a bit of a knife edge that cuts a hole in the leather as it attempts to stitch. Then it can go all the way through to make the stitch. With felt that isn’t woven, an ordinary needle be used but it needs to be the correct size and sharp enough to penetrate.
Another thing to think about is the weight of the material being used. Heavy? Light? That will affect the size and type of needle used. Sometimes with different material and/or needles tension of the threads will affect the final results. And yeah, of course, the type of thread being used, too.
