To develop the Leisure And Sports Cities the Noida Authority has invited bids from the well-established developers. The last date to submit bids has been kept as March 24, 2011. The bids will be open in public to choose the right developer.

Proximity to New Delhi is one such advantage for the twin cities which will ensure the flow of tourists and therefore the interest of the developers on these two projects is of high nature.

The Year 2011 looks to be a year of exciting times for the citizens of the twin cities after successfully hosting Commonwealth Games last year. The twin cities figured in the world map as the Cycling events were hosted on the Express Highway. This year India will host its first Formula 1 Grand Prix on October 30, 2011 at the Jaypee Formula 1 tracks in Greater Noida in Paris on Wednesday. The addition of an Indian GP to the F1 calendar will make 2011 a 20-race season, the longest in the history of the sport.
