Ceramic knob is decorative and is also very functional. They are sturdy and strong and they can be used for rough use and areas where there is need for regular push and pull. Earlier knobs were more or less handles that were made of steel or iron and would rust easily. They never gave the furniture a decorative look only made the furniture functional. The ceramic knobs were introduced by the designers or the owner of the furniture showroom where they attached the hand made knob which they got made by the local artisans and sculptures to give it a beautiful shape and structure. The flower design is the most popular design available in a knob. It is hand painted using natural colours and brushes .Even though the colour is spread evenly throughout. There is difference in the colour and the strokes of brush are clearly visible. Even though two knobs look similar but when you see it in detail you can understand the difference that is possible in hand painted and hand made knob. The red flower crackle knob has a base that is crackled. The crackled design is made by sticking broken pieces of tiles on raw ceramic knob and then kept to dry. It is then painted with flowers; the first flower is red colour flower that has petals slightly away from the bud. The same flower is painted on the opposite side and the space between the two flowers is green colour leaves that are equidistant from each other and this pattern that is repeated again in a circular form. This design is followed by a circular ring of black colour and the other part of the leaf is beyond this line. The screw is 1.5 inches diameter and 1.5 inches projection approximately. The Bolt size: 1 inches approximately and can be adjusted according to the thickness of the drawer. This knob is suited for contemporary to modern looking furniture and furniture that has a white base or background .It can be used on the drawer and cabinets of the kitchen, living room or bedroom furniture.
