The Rabbit is a small hoping creature of the Leporidae family .It is a part of the mammal family and they give birth to the one similar to the other mammals like the cows, horse and camels. The distinguishing feature of the rabbit is big long ears with hopping legs, large eyes that don’t blink .The male is called the buck while the female is called a mare. They are available in the wild and also domesticated for their hair which is used in making the wool to knit the warm blankets and shawls. A young rabbit is called a kitten. Rabbits like to live in burrows in wetlands , desert and tropical places .To make a shelter for themselves they burrow the muddy surface quite deep into the earth and keep themselves as well as their young ones safe from rain, sun and predators as the kittens are always the target of predators roaming in the jungle. They are small eaters and eat mostly grass and also weeds or whatever is available. They are often seen with a carrot as it is one of its favourite vegetable and consume it all the time. They bear similar appearance to the rodent the only difference being that they do not cause destruction .They sleep for almost eight hours with their eyes wide open as they are prey animals .they are most active at dawn or dusk .They are domesticated for their fur and they come in white, grey or brown .Cross breeding causes various pattern or design on their fur. Rabbits are not considered to be favourable to domesticate them as they consume most of the grass and often seen grazing the fields. In the European countries the rabbits are often hunted for flesh and handed to the butchers. As the tradition goes the rabbit used as a symbol for fertility the ceramic knob is made using the structure of a rabbit with elongated ears without defining the eyes or the nose .But one look at which makes it relate to a rabbit .The rabbit shaped would be a perfect accessory for the drawer, cabinets and chest of drawers.
