Berry was the primary source of food for hunter gathers and food gatherers before the advent of agriculture .They were rich in citrus fibre and was a good source of liquid glucose .They provided refreshment and food content to the locals and tribal .Berry originates from a single ovary of a fruit. With time the hunter gathers learnt to store the berries by using natural preservatives and used them in winter season as it was considered as a seasonal fruit which grew during the summers. The berries were mostly grown in huge acres of Europe and the surrounding areas. They were initially thought to have medicinal properties as it was known to have cure urine infections or skin related problems. They were grown on a large scale as the demand for this citrus fruit was very high. The most popular amongst the various species were the wild berries. The most popular was the garden berries which were a hybrid of Virginia berries. Berries are grown in contrasting colour to the background where the background is mostly in green colour. The different berries are for different flavours and uses .It has anti-oxidants that help the body to repair the torn tissues. It is used in bakery like in cakes and pies and used after drying them in the sun and some are used after immersing them in wine and rum to give it a more rich flavour. Some berry like the cranberries are very tasty and used in the beverages are good refreshing drinks. Sauces made of berries are considered very tasty and used to add taste to the soft drinks or flavoured milk. It some cases it is also used as a natural colorant for pink, blue or purple. Berries are used in the form of jams preserves or pulp. But to its short life span it has to be consumed early in a period of fifteen days to month. The cherry knob is embedded in a glass covering which is of very good quality and can be used to adorn the knobs, cabinets or the chest of drawers of the bedroom.
