The antique singing bowls were used in relaxation, meditation in spas and meditation centres. It is an old aged tradition brought down from the Himalayan region. It was a practise undertaken by the Buddhist monk in the monasteries .The singing bowl is used by Reiki practitioners to release the of the body of the negative aura which is the reason for all worries and ill health. It is known to have been discovered in the 10th or 12th century .It is made of a special type of alloy which is combination of 5 to 7 metals with a combination of iron which is exclusively meteroite iron which is reason for the humming sound. The singing bowl comes with a mallet with a wooden handle with a red cloth wrapped around it .When the rim is rubbed with this mallet it produces supersonic waves which create vibrations which stirs the body mind and soul. The singing bowls are hand made by local artisans using traditional ways .The singing bowl are available in different shapes and sizes and are kept in all monasteries and meditation centres. It is a known fact that when the singing Bowls are rubbed across the rim it creates waves which are intense on the rim and becomes faint as you go down at the bottom which connects with the supreme soul Buddha itself .It is widely used by reiki practitioners, Reiki therapists and is known to cure cronic ailments especially of the heart and the soul.
