Over 800 students have generated livelihood means for themselves either with jobs in Tata, Agree Ya Solutions, Birla Institute, Small-Medium Industries, Government, Factories, Teaching Faculty, Hotels or owning their own cyber cafes. SCALE has directly trained over 1,500 children in Uttarakhand with girls’ participation being over 70%. Women who participate in alternative income and livelihood programming increase their capacity and skills. These skills not only help the women who have them, but are approved on to friends and children who can use them in the similar way, now and in the future.
