Award-Winning Photographer in Delhi — Nikon Award, TIME Magazine — Nitin Rai - Delhi

Nitin Rai is an award-winning professional photographer based in Gurugram, Delhi NCR. With over 35 years of experience, he is recognised as one of the best photographers in Delhi by the corporations, publications, and institutions that have commissioned and published his work over decades.

His credentials are straightforward. In 1992, his photograph was published on the cover of TIME Magazine — one of the most widely read publications in the world. In 1993, he received the Nikon International Award, which recognises photographers demonstrating sustained excellence at an international standard. His work has appeared in Der Spiegel, Stern, Figaro, Tatler, The Sunday Telegraph, and The Independent. He has authored two coffee table books — India 24 Hours and Lakshadweep. He is the founder of the Raghu Rai Center for Photography in Delhi.

These credentials do not describe a photographer who has had a good year. They describe someone who has operated at the highest level of the profession for over three decades — building a body of work that is diverse, consistent, and internationally recognised.

His corporate clients include Aditya Birla Group, DLF, NTPC, Emaar MGF, Ansal API, and MGF among many others. His work for these organisations has been used in annual reports, advertising campaigns, investor communications, and publications seen by audiences in India and internationally.

Nitin Rai is the son of Raghu Rai, widely considered India’s greatest documentary photographer and a Magnum Photos associate. Growing up in that environment gave Nitin a photographic education that is reflected in every aspect of his practice — from the way he sees a scene to the consistency of what he produces.
