CFA ® is a globally recognized program. One need to invest at least 300 hrs of study to pass this exam. The program consist of 10 subjects related to Investment and finance. The exam is objective type with no negative marking. One can also join a CFA coaching which can help in group study and it'll also help in interacting with people who have already achieved it.

Duration: 3 hours morning + 3 hours afternoon
Total questions: 240
Question format: Objective type
Calculator: Allowed (HP, Texas Instrument)

How to prepare:
CFA Level 1 has 10 subjects all related to investment and finance. Different weightage is assigned to subjects. i. e. Financial reporting and analysis is being assigned the highest weightage of 20%. Means out of 240 question there may be 48 questions from this subjects.
Group study is considered to be most effective way to pass the CFA exam. Also try to solve as many mock test as possible, solve past year question papers.
Do not forget to keep on tracking capital market of the globe as it will give you practical insight. Try to get some original data of the market and apply concepts you have learned, discuss it with your friends and faculties.

Strategies one can follow:
1.) One need to be very quick on financial calculator.
2) Do not stick to one question if it is taking more than 2 mins
3) As their is no negative marking, it doesn't means you keep on guessing. Try to minimize it.
4) Improve you stronger area. However, do not neglect your weaker area.
5) You can use elimination strategy to eliminate wrong answer if answers are widely different.
6) Be very careful while skimming the questions, as question need conceptual clarity.
