Item description
The shrine is protected by two concentric walls. The wall which is called the inner Kurma Bedha has 120 shrines and is 20 feet tall. The wall to the outside, also known as the Mukti Mandap is thought to be a place for sitting knowledgeable Brahmins. It is believed that the Shri Jagannath temple has been revamped in 1996 and 2000. This temple has a rooftop terrace.
